Cold Brewed Iced Coffee Recipe | Breakfast Care

Cold Brew Iced Coffee is  an easy and refreshing coffee recipe.
It is made chilled, never heated, and with a higher coffee to water ratio than regular drip coffee. It’s made by creating a concentrate which is then mixed with fresh water or milk when serve.

  • 1.5 cups whole coffee beans, coarsely ground

  • 4.5 cups cold water

1. Combine ground coffee and water in a large vessel.
2. Stir well to fully saturate all the coffee grounds.
3. Cover and let stand at room temperature for at least 8 and up to 12 hours.
4. Strain the cold brew concentrate through a fine-mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth or a large coffee filter or other filtering medium to remove grounds and sediment.
5. Transfer cold brew concentrate to an airtight container and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
6. Now, pour the chilled cold brew concentrate over ice and dilute to taste with cold water, milk, or a milk substitute in a glass.
7. Serve chilled and enjoy!
