  • Don’t eat fast: If you're eating too fast then you're taking many calories. Your body will give you cues when it’s time to eat and when you’ve eaten enough, but if you eat fast, you’ll miss those cues.
  • Take small portion: Don’t eat from a package, such as a bag of chips. When you portion out foods before you eat, you’ll know how much you’re eating. Always use small bowls, plate and glass.
  • Balance the calories: When planning your meals, balance your calories within your meals.  A number of online guides and guidance are available to let you know how many calories you should take.
  • Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and dairy products: These should be the basis for your meals and snacks as they have have nutrients you need for health, including potassium, calcium, vitamin D and fiber.
  • Unsweetened drinks:  You should skip sugary drinks, sodas, energy and sports drinks as they contain large amount of added sugar.
  • Reduce sodium intake: Look at the Nutrition Facts labels, and choose low- sodium versions of foods. You should take the food having less than 300mg of sodium per serving.
