Vegetable Pulao Recipe | Breakfast Care

Vegetable Pulao is one of the popular North Indian dish. It is a simple and flavourful vegetable pulao which taste delicious with the Indian flavours and spices.

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables,  chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 green chilli
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1 inch piece ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cup water
  • Salt, as per taste
  • Coriander leaves, to garnish

1. In a bowl, soak rice for atleast an hour.

2. Slice onion, green chillies, small carrot, 8 beans, frozen peas and corn.

3. Heat a small pressure cooker, add oil and temper with the items.

4. Add onion,green chilli, chopped garlic cloves, ginger piece and fry till transparent in medium flame.

5. Stir it for a minute and add the vegetables. Fry in medium flame for 2 mins.

6. Add the rice, drained from water. Mix well.

7. Add salt, water and bring to boil.

8. Close the pressure cooker and keep the flame in lowest flame possible and cook for 12 – 14 mins or until 2 whistles in medium flame.

9. Mix ghee, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
