Homemade Milk Cake/ Milk Cake Kalakand Sweet/ Easy Milk Cake Recipe | Breakfast Care

Milk Cake is indian sweet made with milk and sugar. It is delicious and popular sweet in different regions of India.

  • 1 litre milk
  • 3 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Almonds, chopped

1. In a deep pan, boil the milk over a high flame.
2. Simmer until it is reduced to one-third of its quantity over medium flame. Make sure you stir the milk well in between as this will help prevent the milk from sticking to the bottom.
3. Add lemon juice to the simmering milk.
4. Stir the milk well and cook the mixture till it is light brown in colour and grainy in texture.
4. Add sugar in the pan and stir well for some time.
5. Cook the mixture until the mixture has a thick consistency.
6. Turn off the flame and let it cool a little.
7. Finally set the milk cake.
8. Take a plate and grease it well using some ghee or clarified butter.
9. Spread the mixture evenly in the plate and sprinkle chopped almonds. Let it sit for 24 hours.
10. Once it is set, use a hot knife to take them out and let it remain at room temperature for 15 minutes.
11. Cut the Milk Cake into desired shapes and sizes.
12. Serve fresh.
13. Enjoy!

You can even store milk cake in an airtight container for up to 7 days.
