Egg Drop Soup is a quick and easy to make recipe. It is a healthy and comforting egg recipe.

  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable stock
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Green onions, thinly sliced, plus extra for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Black pepper,as per taste
  • Sea salt, as per taste

  1. In a pan, whisk together stock, ginger and garlic powder until smooth.
  2. Heat over high heat until the stock comes to a simmer.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and egg whites.
  4. Once the broth reaches a simmer, use a fork or a whisk to stir the broth in a circular motion.
  5. Now, slowly pour the whisked eggs into the soup as you continue stirring, in order to create long egg ribbons.
  6. Remove pan from heat. 
  7. Stir in the sesame oil and green onions until combined. 
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Sprinkled with green onion slices and serve.
  10. Enjoy!
