Chickepeas Chaat/ Chickepeas Salad Recipe | Breakfast Care

Chickepeas Salad is a healthy, refreshing and delicious chickepeas chaat. It's a popular Indian salad.


• 1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight and drained

• 1 medium tomato, chopped

• 1/2 small red onion, finely diced

1/2 green bell pepper, chopped

1/2 yellow bell pepper, chopped

• 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Black pepper, as per taste

• Salt, as per taste


1. Soak the chickepeas overnight in a bowl.

 2. In a pressure cooker, cover the chickpeas with enough water.

3. Bring to a boil overmoderate heat  until the chickpeas are tender.

4. In a large bowl, combine the tomato, red onion, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves and mango powder.

5. Add the chickpeas.

6. Season with salt and black pepper. Toss well.

7. Serve immediately.

8. Enjoy!
