Aloo Jeera/ Punjabi Jeera Aloo is one of the most popular and easiest Indian side dish. It is best served with puris, chapati, rice, roti or dal as well.
Ingredients
500gram baby potatoes
3 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 green chilli, chopped
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoon dry mango powder
1 teaspoon chilli flakes
2 tablespoon oil
Chopped coriander leaves, to garnish
Salt, as per taste
Instructions
In a pot, boil the potatoes until they are slightly softened.
Once cool down, peel the potatoes.
Heat oil in a pan.
Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them crackle for a few seconds.
Add green chilli and fry for a few seconds.
Add chilli flakes, turmeric powder, dry mango powder and salt. Saute for few seconds.
Add the potatoes and cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Garnish with fresh coriander.
Serve hot with parathas, rice or Puri.

Note
You can use regular potatoes if baby potatoes are not available.
