Soya Chunks Tikki/ Soya Chunks Cutlets are easy to make, healthy and good for any time of the day. These are great appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup dry soya chunks
- 2 teaspoon all-purpose flour
- 2 boiled potatoes
- 2 teaspoon corn flour
- ½ inch ginger, finely chopped
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilli, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon garam masala powder
- ½ teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon aamchur powder
- ⅓ cup bread crumbs
- A handful of coriander leaves, chopped
- Oil
- Water
- Salt, as per taste
Instructions
- In hot water, soak the soya chunks for 30 minutes.
- Drain the water from the chunks.
- Crumble the soya chunks with your hand to coarse paste.
- Mash the potatoes. add onion, ginger, coriander leaves and green chilli.
- Add cumin seeds, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, aamchur powder and salt. Mix everything well.
- Make patties and set aside.
- Make a thick flowing paste adding required water to corn flour and maida.
- Dip each patty in the batter and cover on both the sides.
- Coat the cutlet in breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a wok on medium flame.
- Place them on hot oil and fry until golden brown.
- Flip and fry the other side.
- Drain the soya cutlets on kitchen paper towel.
- Serve hot.

Note
You can use gram flour for healthy option instead of all-purpose flour.
