Sweet Potato Porridge Recipe | Breakfast Care

Sweet Potato Porridge is fully packed with nutritious ingredients. It is healthy, flavorful and mouthwatering.

  • 1 sweet potato, roasted and mashed
  • 2 cups milk
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ripe bananas sliced
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
  • A pinch of salt

  1. In a blender, add milk, pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Blend until smooth. Stir well.

  2. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.

  3. Preheat the oven to 415 degrees F. 

  4. Poke several holes in the sweet potato and wrap in foil.

  5. Roast until sweet potato is very tender when poked with a fork or for about 1 hour.

  6. Remove from oven and allow sweet potato to cool enough to handle. 

  7. Peel the skin off the sweet potato. Mash the flesh in a bowl.

  8. Add the mashed sweet potato to the refrigerated bowl.

  9. Divide the sweet potato porridge between 2 bowls.

  10. Top with sliced banana, blackberries, butter, and hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds and serve.

  11. Enjoy!
