Kesar Peda is so simple to make and taste simply delicious. It is often prepared during various festivals in India.
Ingredients
- 400 grams condensed milk
- 1.5 cups milk powder
- 2 tablespoons saffron strands
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Pistachios, chopped (to garnish)
- 2 teaspoon ghee
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add condensed milk and milk powder. Mix well and stir continue to prevent lumps.
- Mix untilill the milkmaid melts and get thickened.
- Add cardamom powder and ghee to enhance the flavour. Mix well and turn off the flame
- Spread the dough to cool slightly, so it will be easy to prepare pedas.
- Scoop a tablespoon of dough and prepare a smooth ball.
- Place pistachios and saffron strands at the centre and press gently.
- Serve immediately.
- Enjoy!
Note
1. You can refrigerate leftover pedas in a air tight container for up to 1 week.
2. You can use butter, if ghee is not available.
