Fried Summer Rolls/ Vietnamese Spring Rolls/ Cha Gio Recipe | Breakfast Care

Fried Summer Rolls are also known as Vietnamese Spring Rolls and Cha Gio


Ingredients
  • 10 piece spring rolls wrapper
  • 20 grams rice noodles, cooked
  • 1 small purple cabbage, finely sliced
  • 50 grams bean sprouts
  • Shallots
  • 4-6 garlic cloves, crispy
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt & pepper, as per taste
  • Oil for frying
  • A handful coriander leaves, to garnish
  • Lime wedges

Instructions
1. In a bowl, add cooked rice noodles, sesame oil, crispy garlic and salt.
2. Place a spring roll wrap onto a towel and fill it with all fresh veggies and top with some cooked noodles.
3. Make a sausage like shape out of the fillings at one end of wrappers.
4. Fold sides in and begin rolling spring roll. At the end of the rolling, seal it by moistening the edge with water.
5. Heat the oil in a wok over medium- high flame.
6. Drop the rolls in hot oil and fry, turning frequently until golden brown.
7. Remove the rolls from oil and place in kitchen paper towel.
8. Serve hot with the dip of your choice.
9. Enjoy!
