Creamy Millet Porridge Recipe | Breakfast Care

Creamy Millet Porridge is the best option for breakfast. It is naturally sweetened and is  filled with nutrients & fiber.


Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups millet, divided
  • 2.5 cups non-dairy milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup apple, sliced
  • 1/2 cup raspberry
  • 4 cups water
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions
  1. In a grinder, place 1 cup of the millet and grind until broken down.
  2. Grease a pot.
  3. Add processed millet and remaining 1/4 cup of intact millet into a slow cooker.
  4. Add the remaining ingredients, stir well, cover with the lid and cook on low flame.
  5. Remove lid, give it a good stir adding milk.
  6. Garnish with apple and raspberries.
  7. Serve immediately.
  8. Enjoy!

Notes
1. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
2. You can add your desired toppings.
