Chocolate Hummus Tarts Recipe | Breakfast Care



Ingredients
For The Tart Base:
  • 10 digestive biscuits, sugar free
  • 2 teaspoon butter
  • 1 sugar free chocolate, melted
For The Filling
  • 1 cup chickpeas, boiled
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or agave syrup
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 6-8 pieces dark chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Walnuts, to garnish
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions
  1. Drain the chickpeas.
  2.  In a bowl, add the chickpeas, maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla, salt , biscuits and water.
  3. Puree for 30 seconds, then scrape down the bowl.
  4. Grease a tart tin with butter.
  5. Line a pregreased tart tin with the mixture and keep to chill.
  6. Take the chilled tart tins and carefully remove the tart crust.
  7. Fill the crusts with hummus and chill for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Garnish with walnuts and serve.
  9. Enjoy!
