Cheddar Bacon Chive Biscuits is the easy recipe for breakfast, brunch, or dinner side dish. This is the perfect trio to make biscuits.
Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 6 slices bacon, diced
- 4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup chives, chopped
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- 1.5 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat.
- Add bacon and cook until brown and crispy.
- In a large bowl, combine bacon, flour, cheese, chives, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
- Grate butter using the large holes of a box grater. Stir into the flour mixture.
- Add milk and stir using a rubber spatula until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough 3-4 times until it comes together.
- Roll the dough into a 1 1/4-inch thick rectangle, using a rolling pin.
- Make about 10 biscuits.
- Place biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet. Freeze.
- Remove biscuits from freezer.
- Bake until golden brown or for 15 minutes and serve.
