Besan Ladoo Recipe | Breakfast Care

Besan Ladoo is one of the delicious, traditional and popular Indian sweet. Indian festivals can never be complete without these delicious ladoo. So, these are made in almost every festival.

  • 1 cup gram flour/ besan
  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Chopped nuts, to garnish

  • In a pan, heat ghee at low flame.
  • Add Besan and slowly roast the besan, stirring constantly to avoid the lumps.
  • After about 10 minutes, the flour will start to loosen up and become light and fluffy. Continue roasting until the flour turns light golden brown and aromatic.
  • Turn the heat off and take out the mixture into a bowl.
  • Add powdered sugar, cardamom and chopped nuts.
  • Massage the mixture with the palm of your hands, and as you do so the ghee starts to release, allowing the mixture to bind together.
  • Take 3 tablespoons of mix at a time and start pressing and shaping to form round balls.
  • Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  • Garnish with chopped nuts and serve.
  • Enjoy!

You can store ladoos in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
