Turkish Eggs is a healthy and comfort food. It's often serve with toasted crusty bread and is a best breakfast recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 150 ml yogurt
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2 tablespoon salted butter
- 1 tablespoon dill, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon hot smoked paprika
- A handful of parsley,bchopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, put the yogurt and whisk in the garlic, dill, oil and some seasoning.
- Heat the butter in a small pan until melted, stir in the paprika and leave over a low heat.
- Poach the eggs by gently cracking into a pan of just-simmering water. Leave for 2-3 minutes then scoop out with a slotted spoon and gently poke the yolk to see if it is done to your liking. Drain on kitchen paper towel.
- Put the yoghurt in a bowl and add the eggs.
- Drizzle over the paprika and butter.
- Sprinkle with a chopped parsley and serve.
