Semolina Porridge is also known as Cream of Wheat recipe and Mannaya Kasha.
It is a popular breakfast in Eastern Europe and Russia. It’s Semolina cooked in milk to make a hot breakfast porridge, usually served with jam or fruit.
Ingredients
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup water
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoon butter
- 2 teaspoon honey or any other sweetener to taste
- Strawberries, cut into halves
- Raspberries
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in a saucepan, add the Milk and the cinnamon stick and stir in the semolina.
- Simmer gently and stir frequently to prevent the porridge from developing lumps.
- Cook until the semolina becomes tender with a porridge consistency.
- Add the butter, and continue to simmer until the porridge reaches your desired consistency.
- Tot with strawberries and raspberries.
- Drizzle some honey or any other sweetener of your choice and serve.
