Sabudana vada is also called as 'sabu vada'. It is a traditional deep fried breakfast and snack from Maharashtra, India. It is often served with spicy green chutney and along with hot chai.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sabudana
- 2 medium size potato, boiled
- 1/4 cup peanuts, roasted (crushed & skin removed)
- 3 tablespoon coriander, chopped
- 2 teaspoon green chilli,chopped
- Salt , as per taste
Instructions
- Wash the sabudana and soak for 6-8 hours in water.
- In a bowl, add soaked sabudana, salt, fresh coriander, green chilli, roasted peanuts and grate the boiled potatoes. Mix everything nicely.
- Heat oil in a non stick frying pan.
- Make small balls from the dough.
- Flatten them like a cutlet.
- If it is too sticky, apply little oil on your palms.
- Deep fry the vadas in hot oil at high heat till golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped coriander.
- Serve hot with green chutney.
- Enjoy!
Note
1. You can use any dip of your choice.
2. It is best eaten with hot tea.
