Palak Paratha/ Spinach Paratha Recipe | Breakfast Care

 Palak paratha/ Spinach Paratha is a very popular Indian cuisine which is often cooked for breakfast. Palak paratha is a great way to include Spinach in children’s diet. It is generally served with plain yogurt or any dip of your choice.

  • 1 bunch palak leaves / spinach
  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • cups water
  • inch ginger, chopped
  • green chilli, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon carom seeds
  • 2 teaspoon oil
  • oil/ ghee
  • Salt, as per taste

  • Prepare palak puree.
  • Make a dough of wheat flour.
  • Take a small dough, put 1 teaspoon palak puree and close the dough in round.
  • Roll the dough and flatten it.
  • Dust with some wheat flour if get sticky.
  • Roll it in a thin circle like chapathi or paratha.
  • Place the rolled paratha on hot tawa and cook for a minute or until gets brown on the edges.
  • Flip and cook on other side.
  • Brush paratha with oil / ghee and press slightly.
  • Serveerve palak paratha with plain yogurt or any dip of your choice.

1. You can prepare palak paratha with the stuffing of paneer for kids.
2. Knead very soft dough to make softer parathas.
